Since the 1980s, the Ci Yang Kiln of Tucheng, together with ceramic manufacturers in Yingge, such as the Shang Ceng Kiln, Tai Hwa Kiln, and Hsiang Hsin Kiln, have provided a place for potters to practice painted ceramics techniques, continuously innovating new colors and glazes for the painters to use and offering them the chance to come up with new styles and expanding palettes to work with. This has been of considerable help to the continued development of Taiwanese painted ceramics.
