Decoration often has the implication of the contemporary values and personal will to create. The patterns and symbols produced closely link to personal language, culture and memory. The decoration also represents the imagination and anticipation of a beautiful future, implying that in order to capture the disappearing beautiful mirage, another spiritual side of desire is also unveiled.
Beast is often the symbol of mysterious power in primitive village’s religion before civilization. In creation, the decorated beast is actually the reflection of self in need. The form of the beast is used to represent the ego with needs. The process of drawing is viewed as a psychological state of lacking. Repeated action is taken to fill out the emptiness and to further satisfy self’s needs.
