  • KIM En Joong
    KIM En Joong (1940-)
    Son of a Calligrapher, Kim En Joong was born in 1940 in Booyo, South Korea. He joined the Dominican Order, and he has worked in Paris since 1975. The artist has participated in numerous international exhibitions.

    2000 Exhibition at the Cathedral of Saint Michel in Brussels, Belgium.
    2003 Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris, France.
    2004 Exhibitions in Paris, Tokyo and Seoul.
    2007 Creation of important windows for the Basilica of Saint Julien de Brioude in France.

    He was recently awarded the ‘Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres’ by the French Minister of Culture in France. In the face of the dark events of the twentieth century, his work sings of awakening joy and hope for a better future. His non-figurative paintings draw on new technical concepts of space and perspective. They impose a change of scenery, and suggest the start in a search for the divine mystery.
