  • Celadon Nested Boxes with Peony Pattern
The Sanda ware began production in eastern Hyogo Prefecture in the 18th century, and by the 19th century it could already produce high-quality celadon imitations of Ming dynasty Longquan celadon. The glaze color is very similar to Longquan celadon green, and the die-cast production is very high. Subsequently, the Sanda Kiln also produces blue and white porcelain and five-colored porcelain. The lid and the peony pattern of this 4-level nested box (meal box) are manufactured with a mold. This is one of the most exquisite of Sanda wares. This box is used to carry dishes to be served during banquets.
