  • Economic Structure of Ceramic Industry
    After the Japanese reign in Taiwan, it marched into another stable society in which population increased, industry and business also gradually prospered. Therefore, various official or civilian organizations had been established, to promote or control industry, business, farming, fishing and husbandry, etc. The related organizations with impact on Yingge ceramic industry are listed as follows.

    The Taiwan superintendent government during the Japanese reign in the 2nd year of Tacheng (1913) announced Industrial Organization Rules to be enforced in Taiwan, for controlling and guiding local economy, finance and industry. “Yingge Rock Credit Union” was established following that in the 6th year of Tacheng (1917) to promote financial circulation and prosper local economy. Following to the correction of local name from Yingge Rock to Yingge, the Credit Union was renamed in the 9th year of Tacheng (1920) to Yingge Credit Union. Later operation items were increased, and it was renamed to be “Yingge Credit Purchase Sales Facility Union”, concurrently operating common procurement, common sales, common utility, etc. The products under joint sales included tiles, tile refining (tile), ceramics, etc. Hence, it promoted the development of ceramic industry.
