  • Age of Ceramics Export
    In the early phase of Restoration, under the policy of saving cost and striving for foreign currency, Taiwan Handicraft Promotion Center promoted the sales of ceramic products to the whole world, to earn foreign currency for the nation. But due to its low profit and high risk, the suppliers on the contrary emphasized on domestic market. Until 1965, ceramic import/export appeared surplus for the first time.
    In 1962, Taiwan ceramic suppliers participated in EXPO held in Seattle of USA, opened a channel of Yingge ceramics in export, and mass export commenced since 1967.

    World Expo
    During 1962, Mr. Ji-Chang Chao, the chief of Small and Medium Enterprise of Taiwan encouraged Taiwan Handicraft Promotion Center to invited ceramics industries to join the world Expo in hoping to open the export market in Taiwan. Taiwan Art ceramics company joined the first expo with their Buddhist figurines, and Chunfong ceramics offered their elephant chair.
