  • Extending the Concept of the Vessel
In order to cultivate the creative imagination regarding vessels, we invited dramatists, musicians, architects, and designers to engage with concept of the vessel itself, and to think about some essential question such as” what a vessel is ” and “ what a vessel contains”. The artists further used alternative mediums, such as video, music and installations, to extend the possibilities of vessels. Through this collaboration, the exhibition raises many interesting questions that may provoke refl ection and, hopefully, open paths towards a new, inclusive concept of the vessel.

    1.Vessels and Music
People are familiar with sound, but usually do not know how sound can be magnifi ed through vessels. Here the artist presents the process in which sound is hidden in a container waiting to be discovered.

2.Body is the Vessel of Memories
The body can be viewed as a vessel carrying the memories of the self and the civilization. With design concepts and meanings spanning different eras, this section of the exhibition will present a number of works that combines both classical images and modern design to express the new meaning of body image.

3.Body is the Vessel of the Soul
Our body can be considered the vessel of soul. This part of the exhibition incorporates theatre experience. Through the experience of such theater space, we invite the audience to refl ect upon the happiness and sadness of life and share their thoughts with us.

4.Building is the Vessel for Living
It is often said that “A building is the vessel for living”. A miniature architectural structure, made primarily of clay, provides a complex and beautiful space for the viewers to experience “the vessel for living” and imagine different lifestyles.
